while driving down the road the wipers will turn on by them selfs.

you can controll the speed but not turn them off.

but other times the will not turn on at alll.

where do I start to fix this problem??

Also the 4x4 HI and LO lights are coming on and flashing about 5 times while driveng down the road.

With the wipers, when the don't work, check to see if the motor is getting power. If it isn't I think the problem may be the switch.

As far as the 4wd, does the system still work or won't shift into 4wd?

4x4 works i think, you can hear it switch and tell a diference in low range, the lights just start flashing while in 2 wheel driving down the road
