1999 Ford Ranger what's a rcm?

I just went to my ford dealer to pick-up my pick-up. After an alternator, fuses; now it's my RCM needs replaced. It's been in the shop shop since July 5th. Whats a RCM???? the clerk couldn't tell me. Rand
