I was recently driving down the road when i noticed my high beams were constantly on, and the indicator lights was flickering between dim and bright. When i pulled over to the side of the road i opened the hood and smoke poored out. When i looked under the driver side wheel well there was fire coming out. The fire came from a small black box that is located on the front driver side vehical frame, almost behind but right below the driverside headlight. It had a 5-pin Connector with the following color of wires (Green/yellow, Green/black, Blue/Orange, Red/Black, Black) Does anyone know what this is??? Thanks David Doner

It may have been the daytime running light module (LCM). On the 99 I'm not sure if that is where it was or if the vehicle has that, but from the description you gave, that's what it sounds like.
