Steering problem
1999 Ford Ranger 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

when i got home from work i smelled something under the hood so i poped the hood and found that my power seering pump exploded power steering fluid all over my engine threw the pressure release valve i took the cap off and found that the fluid was black and sludge like so i flushed my fluid and put new power steering fluid in but when i turn the car on now and turn the wheel it shakes and rattles i dont know if its my pump or rack and pinion where do i start i dont want to buy them boath and install boath if i dont need to??
