when i put the car in gear its very hard to shift sometimes i have to use 2 hands what is wrong with it and how much does it cost to fix

does it only happen when you park on a steep incline? try to park on level ground. and try to slowly coast to a stop and get the pressure off of the tranny before you shift it out of park as there aint so much pressure on the park forks.
