My repair manual has a statment that the lubrication on the pins is a special lubrication. Is this true and what do we use for replacement. Should the rubber boot be replaced also? Thanks for your time. I am looking forward to your help.

you can use brake caliper grease, the boots should be replaced if they are cracked and dry rotted.
