1999 Ford Ranger battery gauge

when i am coming to a stop my battery gauge goes way down and the lights dim and the idle drops way down but then it will come back up when i hit the gas pedal

If you have not done so already, do the basics like check the belt tension to the alternator. and water level in the battery. Take your car to you local autostore and have them run a free diagnostic of the electrical system to see if a weak alternator is your problem.

ty for ur timely answer but i already had the battery and alternator checked and they said they were fine ny other possibilies it could be?
