At the last few seconds before stopping the rear ABS system allows the truck to roll forward a few feet (5-6 ft) and then stop normal. The ABS llight has never came on or flickered I have read a bunch of posts and I believe shifting is alittle tougher even though it is a standard trans. I understand there are two sensors one on the trans and one on the rear diff but I find conflicting answers on which one to replace as described by my problem. The front sensor is $150. and the rear is under $20. see my dilema :) I understand there may also be wheel sensors but haven't found any truth to that. I plan to have the guys plug it in a Autozone tomorrow and see what codes pop up. Suggestions am i going the right way? I am hoping someone says just replace the rear sensor. Was thinking could one just pull the fuse to the ABS as this truck never leaves town just a work truck, I know the loss of the ABS maybe bad but could I run that way for awhile if I have to buy the front sensor ?
