Should I replace all my oxygen sensors? I am getting intermittent engine check lights and I have been told to replace my catalytic converter and the oxygen sensors. My mileage has also decreased. I do not care to replace the catalytic convertor; however, the sensors probably need replacement. How many oxygen sensors are there and where are they located? I have been told anywhere from three to five sensors. Please let me know how many I should replace and if there is a diagram or a picture somewhere that will tell me where they are. I have a Ranger XLT with the 6 cyl 3.0 liter engine, 4WD, manual transmission.
Thanks!

normally when o2 sensors go bad show the check engine light stays on at all times and the gas milage is almost un noticable

intermiten check engine light and bad gas milage sounds like a dirty mass air flow sensor
