i have a miss in #4 cyl,have put in newplugs,wires.
comppestion in cyl, is 110.sets a code in comp, #4 missfire det,.no other codes.it seemes to be intermettent,because it is not all the time.replaced maf sensor,seems to help it when you unplug maf.

Seems like the dealer MAF is the way to go with these. The test you did helps support that. Maybe return it for an exchange if it's aftermarket?

the oem maf did the same thing,as the repacment.we have also found 2 broken spark plug inselaters,#4,#6.this has been going on for,on and off,6 months.not sure if it is a loose wire or bad computer,or what.i have pulled all my hair out trying to find the problem.WE ALSO HAVE TEMP. BROBLEMS NOT HEATING UP,REPLACED THERM.DID BETTER NOT FOR LONG.HAD 1 MECH,TELL ME THAT THE TEMP MIGHT BE THE PROBLEM IN THE MISSFIRE.

Can you check the coeds? err...codes.
But hey if you have coeds, check them too! :lol:
Has there been any other heating issues?
do you have heat in the cab?

THE ONLY CODE IT SHOWS IS MISFIRE DETECTED IN #4 CYL,THE HEAT DOES HEAT IN CAB BUT TAKES SOOM TIME TO DO ANY GOOD. IM GOING TO REPLACE THEM, AGAIN JUST TO MAKE SURE .

Thermostat sounds questionable, have seen many be bad from the get go. How old are the wires? You can try swapping 2 wires to see if the misfire moves. Can do the same with injectors.
Pull the # 4 plug and see if it is wet or any other tell tale signs.
Get a spark tester and put it on that cylinder to make sure it's getting spark

no matter what we have done from changing wires,plugs,the missfire does not move,remains in #4.wires,plugs,less than 5,000 miles.my boss suggjested the inj.flush havent done that yet,just making we have toched all the bases first.

What do you definitly know?

Is it getting spark to that cylinder?----how do you know?

the only thing im not sure of is the fuel in that cyl,checked spark with a spark tester,and plug.checked comp,with a tester its at 90-110 psi,the only thing im not sure how to test is the fuel in that cyl,with out taking plenam apart and testing inj, that way.but that may be what i do next.

If I'm, going into there and spend 2 hours to do it, I'd be inclined put in a new injector.
