checked fuses; all ok though it is not clear from the manual which fuse controls this light. Suspect it is the bulb...how big a chore is it to change this bulb myself? How to access it quickly and change it out?

Thanks.

You need to replace dimmer switch to regain cluster lighting.
The switch costs about $140.00.
There is no cheap fix for this.
I had to replace mine about two years ago.
It is about a 1.5 hour job.
AutoZone has the best repair info on the cluster removal.
Good luck.

I understand. It appears this is not offered and those that do, are out of stock.

I would suggest at this point either follow the link above and have them notify you when there is one available. If you don't want to wait then you will need to start contacting some salvage yards and I am sure they will have some.

Here are some videos of removing and installing this in a 2001 and then the head lamp switch that is right next to this switch in your vehicle. Basically the same process.

Also, I attached below some info from the manual on this as well.

Run through this info and let us know if you have questions. Thanks for using 2CarPros.
