For the past year or so my truck will sometimes lurch forward when accelerating from a dead stop. The motor will rev up and then violently go into gear, as if I had put it in neutral, revved it up, and threw it into drive. Last week I blew a head gasket, so I removed everything up top, replaced both cracked heads, and put it all back togather. The motor now runs great. I took it out for a two mile test drive and as I approached my house I lost power to the rear wheels. I tried 1st, 2nd, and drive, no go, however it would go in reverse, which is how I drove it home. I replaced the tranny filter, gasket, and fluid. Still wont go forward. What do you think? I'll feel funny driving everywhere in reverse.
