Electrical problem
1994 Ford Ranger 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 150k miles
I attempted to jump my old battery and something started to smoke. Im sure I had the positive and negative on the right spots. I was able to jump it once successfully, but this time it gave no response whatsover when i turned the ignition, not even the "clicking" that would happen on prior attempts. immediately after there was smoking coming from what appeared to be the wires about 6 inches away from the battery. I dont know what is wrong but seeing as how i cant afford a tow, it would be great if someone know how to fix it at home.
