I just had the transmission replaced on my 1994 Ford Ranger. Last year, I had the clutch replaced. The truck runs and shifts gears fine. However, it makes a chunking type noise in neutral. When I press the clutch in, the noise goes away. What might be causing it?

Can you explain a bit more on the type of noise. Most likely it is a finger on your pressure plate; however it could be the hydraulic bearing/slave cylinder. Your clutch pedal feels firm and there is no air in the system correct?
