I replaced my clutch and pressure plate. Put everything back together but cannot get the shifter to do anything. The slave seems to be operating as the clutch engages and disengages with the operation of the clutch pedal. It seems to be stuck in reverse. When I put on the gas as the tire rotate in reverse they speed up and slow down normally. They come to a stop with braking action and the engine bogs out if I apply the brakes hard enough with the clutch pedal not pressed to the floor. This tells me the slave cylinder witch is relatively new and bled out is OK. I think I may have removed the shifter when it was in reverse gear and it sees to me that the gear shifter shaft is not lining up properly. If this is the case... How do I get this thing back together. I have no ride and I am out of food. Please help!!!! This trans ,I believe the maz 501r model.

OK!!! THEN !!! It is 7:50 P.M. my time and I sure am glad that you guys had not answered my question yet. I FIGURED IT OUT !! All I had to do was stare at it for another hour or so.

To answer my own question .....One must move a pin over so that the fork can be moved back into the neutral position. Once that is done the lever will slide right where it belongs and you will have normal movement. WHAT a RELIEF !! Just a word to the other readers. It only makes sense that the gear shift be in neutral when removing it. I was in a hurry for a moment. No chilton manuel will remind you of this. So use common sense and don't trust the manuel as if it was the Word of God.

P.S. Can I please have my money back? as I did answer my own question.
If it means anything to you , I was able to answer a few of your forumists' questions as I was reading through this web site. Please E-mail me to confirm that my money will be returned. Thankyou in advance
