Is there any trick to replacing the brake light switch
(attached to the brake peddle)?
And what else might cause both brake lights to quit at the same time besides the bulbs?

Have you check the stop light fuse ?

There's no trick to it-just look at the old one in place-then go for it-after installing look at the brake light is it On-if so adjust the switch. Also an open wire from the switch will cause the same problem
