First the truck started feeling like it was missing, and lost some power (but still ran and drove). Found a bad heat cut in one of the spark plug wires. During this time the distributor cap was taken off to inspect the rotor and decide if rotor/distributor needed to be replaced. Didn't replace either. Put cap back on, swapped all wires for new ones... Now its a different problem.

Now it starts up and revs up (sounded pretty normal) then comes back down and continues to lower the RPMs way to low and sounds like its going to die, sometimes it will rev back up and so on and so forth. Eventually it does die. I have triple checked the firing order and wiring, and is correct. I did not (for what I know) change or mess with anything else! I don't get why the problem would have worsened. Please help.
