Truck suddenly began surging at idle; sometimes the engine will die, but not always. Replaced 02 sensor, as indicated by code that came up on diagnostic computer (home version). Problem remains; no more codes come up.

Check for vacuum leaks: Surging at idle can be caused by a vacuum leak, which can disrupt the air-fuel mixture and affect engine performance. Inspect all vacuum hoses and connections for cracks, loose fittings, or leaks.

Sorry, it was in front of me all the time, under
1991-1995 passenger car and light truck.
Ford EEC-IV system
3 _digit diagnostic codes.

The 125 is the trottle position sensor circuit voltage lower than expected.
the O2 was not the problem , it just monitor what is going on.
An open TPS signal the computer that the trottle is allways closed, resulting in poor performance, trigger the oxygen sensor and sett the code.
a wide open trottle is 5 volts.
your sensor might give 1.25 volt that indicate a constant close trottle( same as circuit voltage lower than expected)
what you need to do is to change the tps, make sure the connector is clean .make sure the wire is not broken, because there an open.
let me know what happens.

thank you for the feedback, I really appreciate it.
sorry for asking where you were from, I was just confuse with the codes.

keep me updated.
