Transmission problem
1991 Ford Ranger Four Wheel Drive Automatic
I have a plow truck for home use only. I just lost forward and reverse. I Checked rear end , is ok. Dropped the trans. pan and filter and found filings in pan. Cleaned up the pan and replaced new filter & fluids, but was not the solution. I now have a grinding noise. Engine light has come on but gone back out. Have snow coming, low on funds and doing self repair. Rebuilt the top of motor 3 mos ago, and replaced the alternator yesterday.
