Hi, Can you help me to identifiy first the part that I see broken on 1991 ranger. Its a metal part that seems to be part of the shock, spring assy. Its on the passenger side tire area, and the spring seems to be holding the piece up. Its totally broken in two? It is a part that is seems to be mounted to the spring.

I suppose in order to find a repair solution I would need a part number, however, I really dont know what to call it. Any suggestions?

The piece looks as if its attached to the frame in the shock springs tire area, but actually it fits into the frame, and the spring holds to it. As I mentioned, its a metal body type material, it is rusted badly, and I feel this led to the piece breaking in two.

I noticed a loud poping noise under the front end when hitting rough parts in the road, this is what alerted me to the problem.

I cant donate at this time, due to the repair costs I will be facing.....Sorry

It's called a shock tower. Replaced mine a year or so a go . Your going to need a spring compressor.
