So whenever I put my truck into reverse it clunks loudly and the whole truck jolts into reverse. Once in reverse and I start to drive and turn the steering wheel I hear a clicking noise as the wheels are turned. Ones put into drive and going I no longer hear a clicking noise.
Is this my ball joints? Because I'm pretty sure I can't do the ball joints myself as any other early ford I've worked on had to have them pressed in at a shop.
Thank you

Usually, a ball joint will clunk. Have you checked the u-joints / CV joints on the front?
