[quote:848d179a03="bluelightnin6"]Most modern fuel injected cars run a fuel pump in the tank and run much more fuel than is needed to the fuel rail. A regulator keeps a certain amount of fuel pressure in the rail and then sends the rest back to the tank. Your regulator is working normally if it is doing this.[/quote:848d179a03] Fuel should not flow threw the regulator and out the vaccume. If it does the regulator is ruptured, and must be replaced. That was the answer I obtained by refourmating thr question. Thank You much for your response "spair tire"

1. Remove vacuum line at pressure regulator, then the regulator housing attaching screws.
2. Remove pressure regulator assembly, gasket and O-ring.
3. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Lubricate fuel pressure regulator O-ring with suitable oil before installation.
b. Torque regulator housing attaching screws to 27 - 40 inch lbs. on 4-140, V6-183, 6-300 and V8-302 engines, or 71 - 102 inch lbs. on V6-177 engine.
