Drive Train Axles Bearings problem
1989 Ford Ranger 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Manual

Hi, i have a 89 ranger. This morning when i got in to drive ,the cluch seemed closer to the floor ,than normal.
As i was driving it got harder to change gears. The cluch resevour was full, and i dont see any leaking from the slave cylinder area.Although it is enclosed in the tranny.
By the time i got it home ,i couldnt change gears. And pedal is still close to floor. Any ideas?

this is a comon problem what you need to do is with the truck siting does not have to be running depress the clutch pedal fully and let it slap back like side step the pedal slide your foot off the depressed pedal let it fly back up do this sevral times and fast what has happend is rust has formed around the trans input housing and the clutch slave cyl can not over come the rust the slave cyl is round and slides on the input shaft housing thus pushing the cluch fingers just make shure the clutch resover is full of brake fluid if this does not work then the trans must come out and shaft cleaned may as well replace the cluch when you have the trans out
