1986 Ford Ranger 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual

How do I take off the oil sending unit? Is there special tools to use? I tried sockets & wrenches but they don't fit in the small space thats there.

will have to remove the components blocking you from accessing it. it should use a deep well socket 1/2"
