1997 Probe GT with 114,000 miles...I get a terrible squeal from under the hood if I engage the air conditioner at low rpms...if engaged at speeds above 20 mph I get no squeal...belt is tight and in good condition and air conditioner cools very well...a friend mentioned something about too high of pressure locking up the compressor?...what can I do?

Thanks!

If its a belt problem a 1/4 -3/8 belt deflection on the center of the belt should do it-if it continues the problem is coming from somewhere else. To ID disconnect it one at time to finger the location.
