The car is used and has had minor damage to the front end. The guy that use to own it was going to fix it but never did and so he let it set for 5 years. When I bought it, I drove it home and changed the oil and oil filter. I drained the oil. Then I took off the oil filter, but I turned it one time with my finger and it came right off. I turned it upside down to see if it had any oil in it at all and there wasn't any. I stuck my finger down in the oil filter to make sure and there wasn't any, it was dry. I put new 10W-40 oil and a new filter in it.

When I start my car, the oil pressure is in the middle of the normal pressure of the gage. But later it will go to the low end of normal pressure. So far it has never been on low pressure. When the car is at idle, the oil pressure is at the low end of normal on the gage. When the car is in higher rpm's, the oil pressure needle goes up to the middle of normal oil pressure.

Should my oil pressure be doing that? If not how do I fix it?
