Instrument cluster not working

1993 Ford Probe 4 cylinder 2.0 liter dohc, with front wheel drive and 120,000 miles.

Checking trouble codes with jumper wire i made a mistake and jumper-ed ground to +b terminal . Now when i turn key on the check engine light and cluster lights will not come on .what did i short out and how do i repair . Is there a fuse to change or light bulbs to change on instrument cluster?

sounds like you possibly blew a fuse or burned some bulbs, check in your fuse block for all uses, ground a test light and use the tip to check each side of each fuse while plugged into the fuse block, there is a metal tab at each side at the top that you can touch it on.

when you find one that has power on one side, none on the other with the key on of course, then you have found the bad fuse.

after you look at the fuses, you will have to remove the instrument cluster and check the bulbs on the back of it if they are burned they will be black in color not clear.

Hi. It's the meter fuse, 15 amp. Don't ask how I know. -_-
The fuse box is located in the foot well left from the pedals.
