Engine Performance problem

About 2 weeks ago my car started acting a little strange. I have zero issues with it in the last year, but now when I accelerate if i push more then 1/3 down on the gas it starts to act like it is sputtering and bucks a little bit. the engine isnt dying, it seems like it's not getting gas fast enough or something like it. if i let up on the gas the engnie smooths out and i speed up fine. it's not too big a deal unless i need to pass somebody, but it is getting rather annoying. it doesnt seem to be related to anyting else and the car doesnt die, the engine just becomes rather erratic.
