Hello, i have an 89' ford probe gt and my temp gauge is reading over 200 degrees. I have replaced the radiator, thermostat, all hoses are fine, no leaks, also replaced the temp sensor, and still no change. The cooling fan does work, but it engages when the temp reaches 220, i disconnected the cooling fan wire plug so the cooling fan will run continuously. It helps a little, but still reading up to almost 200 degrees.
The car is not smoking, or shows any signs of overheating. Also no signs that a valve or head gasket problem, exhaust does not eject smoke, no water in oil or anything. I'm suspecting a faulty gauge possibly, but can't be sure. Please help me solve this mystery. Thanks!

Could be a acumulation of crud in block. Test temp with another guage, most shops have lazer point and read. Flush block and try 190 0r 185 thermostat
