windshield wipers

I have a 1995 Lincoln T.C. Signature.. it has 228 000 miles on it.. My problem with the wipers is that the drivers side wiper swings too far to the outside , it goes past the edge of windshield about 3 inches at the top edge of blade.. Is there a way to adjust this.

Most wiper arms attach by bolt to a knurled shaft. Unbolt the offending wiper arm, remove it, and then reattach it in a position that is 3 inches lower. Tighten the bolt and test.
