oil leak

1997 ford contor 160000 miles I have an oil leak in the front seal so I'm told ( I know the oil leakes where the belts turn on the moter)
The person told me that it would cost about $400.00 to fix this . Doese this sound right?

i can't quote you on prices but it being a front wheel drive car, it's probably gonna be harder to replace the seal. if it makes you more comfortable, go get a second quote from another shop. mabye they'll compete and beat the other shops price.
