Manual transmission fluid

I have a 1980 Ford F-100 pickup with a 3 speed manual transmission. What type of transmission fluid should I use if replacing? Standard transmission fluid or is there some special type for manual transmissions?

Type F if your vehicle requires trans fluid. your auto parts person should be able to assist you with choosing the correct fluid or check your owners manual
