1992 ford mercury topaz

Hi I have a topaz I put a question in the ford section and thought I would put it in here as well I have a 1992 topaz 3.0 L front wheel drive and I am told that the water pump is done in it,, Where would the water put be in this vehicle and is it very hard to get at to change?

The water pump is in the front of the motor behind the fan

It is a couple hour job for a technician to do.

I recommend a napa duropro water pump. Check your email

I am told it is in the front for a rear wheel drive 3.0L I have a front wheel drive car

Your correct,
As I read through the r&r procedure, I thought it was odd they made no reference to it :lol:
It is called a transverse motor, it is still on the front of the motor. The front of the motor points to the passenger side. I have a 3.0 as well with a longitudenal engine and visualizing mine as I posted. :oops:
