auto meter tach

i have a 1988 mustang gt. i just bought a autometer tach for it. i need to know the right way to wire it. the directions that came with it dont help to much. thanks to anyone for help. :?:

Not familiar with wiring for that tach, but I would assume you have a red power wire, black ground, maybe a white illumination wire, and a green or blue signal wire??? The signal wire needs to go into the tach side of the ignition coil,, was i close on the coloring???
