I am attempting to change my brake pads on my 04 mustang. I have followed instruction after reading a prior message concerning the resetting of the rear piston with a reset tool. I went out and purchased it, I am turning the piston clockwise per imstruction and the piston is not resetting. I spent ten minutes turning it to no avail. What could be the problem?

Thank you. I was pushing as turning for 15 minutes to no avail. I spent a large portion of the day researching the issue. After collaborating all of my findings, I found out how to resolve the problem. After watching a youtube video of a mechanic stepping me through the process. Though he wasn't teaching on a Ford, I heeded his advice and turned the tool counterclockwise. Not sure if he said this by mistake or some models actually compress in that direction. Either way I tried it. This in fact did retract the piston which based on prior indications was normal. For whatever reason, on the Ford Mustang rear callipar piston, you need to back the piston out (counter-clockwise) and then in (clock-wise). I found this out 9 hours later. The second brake took me 20 minutes.
