my coil pack went out recently and i had to drive the car on 5 cyl. i'm guessing the lack of combustion in cyl. one messed up my emmissions system because my codes went crazy. i had to take it all apart and clean it. i've got all my engine codes off except the dreaded cat. code. is there any way to clean them other than induction cleaner thru the brake booster? (done that three times) they seem to run fine for about 15 min. then i've got no power and i can hear my engine over my exuast. please tell me i dont have to buy new cats!

sorry but when a convertor has failed there is no way to fix it. you have to put on a new one, no other way around it.

before replacing it find out why it failed that way you are not replacing another one anytime soon.
