2001 Ford Mustang Replacing a water pump

I have a 2001 3.8L Automatic Transmission Ford Mustang. I am planning on replacing the water pump and was wondering if I must use a torque wrench to do the job or can I get away with using a regular socket wrench?

Regular O.K. just don't moose them back on 35 ft.lbs. plenty kind like force to open a pickle jar.
