Heater problem
2000 Ford Mustang 6 cyl Wheel Drive Type unknown Automatic 88495 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
Lately, I have been smelling anti-freeze when I turn on the heater, and the coolant was down to zero, even after I refilled it. I took my car to the mechanic, who confirmed that coolant was pouring out of the lower intake manifold gasket. They replaced the Intake Manifold Gasket, T-Stat, and thermostat Gasket . Plus, they flushed the cooling sysytem. However, while the car no longer reeks of the anti-freeze smell, I can still smell anti-freeze when I turn on the heater. Can anyone help me?

is their condensation appearing on your window? a little bit may leak out of the heater core hoses causing the smell or the cabin air filter could be saturatred with coolant.

No. That's the weird thing. There is no moisture anywhere. No condensation.

change your cabin air filter, and also mix bleach in hot water and remove the blower motor and spray it in the ducts and turn it on.
