1999 Ford Mustang 4-Heater Fan Blower Motor

Heater problem
1999 Ford Mustang V6 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 72000 miles

The fan motor only works on the two upper speeds and not the two lower ones. The Owner's Guide does not show any fuse for the heater motor, but I wonder if there is a fuse or relay for the two lower speeds located anywhere else?

If the fuse/relay is not a valid consideration then what is the next most likely plan of action to consider?

try turning the key to on then press floor and off at the same time, then auto, it should display the fault code(s). post em and I will look it up for you.

Hi and welcome to 2carpros What controls the blower motor speed is the blower motor resistor. Its purposes is to increase or decrease resistances in the circuit to control the operating speed of the motor. The location for such resistor is normally located between the control switch and the blower motor housing. Its location is behind the right side of dash in the AC-Heater plenum. See below The blower motor resistor is at No.15 as illustrated below.
