Recently, I have been hearing this odd noise coming from the car. It is hard to describe, almost like a squeal and a chirp combined. For the longest time, I thought it was one of the pulleys under the hood, but they all checked out just fine, in fact most of them have been replaced recently. The other day I was driving and the noise was getting worse, so I decided to play around with the brake and clutch pedals. I noticed that when I pull up on the clutch pedal when it is engaged the noise changes to a much higher pitch and squeal. However, if I lightly tap the pedal once I am in gear, the noise goes away completely. If I do neither of these actions and the sounds comes, it gets worse as the engine speed increases. It is not a constant noise, but it has been becoming more and more so.
