I pulled codes and got P0340 or Camshaft Position Sensor Circuit A Bank 1. Without thinking, I changed the CPS, but it didn't kill the MIL. I visually inspected the wiring harness, but I can't find any place that would suggest the wiring to be a problem. The car is running fine; no rough idles, hard starts, or loss of power. I'm beginning to worry that it could be a problem in the PCM, but I'm not sure.

I've recently replaced plugs and wires, but with OEM parts. I'm not sure where else to look; am I at a point where I need to take the thing to a dealer?

(I read somewhere that someone suggested changing transmission fluid and filter...which doesn't seem at all related...anyone run into a similar fix before?)

Check and test the crankshaft position sensor if okay test the wiring to and from the CMH if okay -could be very well be the PCM.
