r the rotors on this car held on by pins or nuts on the end of the spindals?

Lug nuts hold it on. Once the wheel is off, pull off the caliper and the rotor should slip off. It may have some corrosion bond to it, just use a hammer and hit it from behind. You won't want to reuse it.
