When taking off fast and holding down on gas steadily there is a small pinging noise. What is this and how to fix??

sounds like pre-igntion. i would start by checking the spark plugs make sure they are gapped right and not too contaminated.

from there try a higher grade of fuel at the pump next time. also is your vehicle distributed?
