1995 Ford Mustang cam positioning sensor synronizing

1995 Ford Mustang 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic
i'm reinstalling timing chain cover and the book says that i need a special tool to aline the hall effect switch.
is there any way to do this without special tool?

you will need the synchro positioner tool to align it up properly..

tools should be under $10 that hold the cam in place and make installation easier

CMP SYNCHRONIZER Removal Note position of CMP sensor electrical connector. Remove CMP sensor. Before removing synchronizer housing, set piston No. 1 to 10 degrees After Top Dead Center (ATDC). Apply reference marks on synchronizer housing and engine. Remove synchronizer housing hold-down bolt and clamp. Remove synchronizer assembly with intermediate shaft. Installation Install Synchro Positioner (T93P-12200-A) on synchronizer assembly (CMP sensor removed). Turn synchronizer shaft clockwise until tool boss engages with notch in synchronizer housing. Tool should fit squarely in top of synchronizer housing. Install intermediate shaft in synchronizer assembly. Insert synchronizer assembly. Arrow on synchro positioner should point as indicated in illustration. Install and tighten hold-down clamp. If synchro positioner is not pointing in correct to correct position, remove synchronizer and start again from step 1). If installed correctly, remove synchro positioner. Install CMP sensor and tighten screws to specification. Connect CMP sensor harness connector and negative battery cable.
