Engine Performance problem
1986 Ford Mustang 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

My car will start if I pour gas into the CFI assembly.As soon as it is gone it shuts off. I think it is a fuel pump problem , but is it possible for it to be the fuel pump pressure regulator??? I have loked down into the location of the injectors and there is no gas coming out, I feel a little lost so if you have suggestions I would be in debt to you.
