The 302 V8 has a recent rebuild from what I was told when I purchaced the car. The block is from a 1987 truck or SUV. I have a problem with my oil pressure, at start the pressure reads 45 which I feel to be low to begine with, and when warmed up to 170 degrees the pressure drops to 15 lbs and lower. Recently as I drove the car I noticed the oil pressure drop to "0" and then bounced up to just below 20 lbs. I ordered an new oil pump but I'm wonering if the pressure guage may be reading wrong also.
