So I just got done wireing a new tachometer and tested it and noticed that the engine will run as long as the key is held in the run position. Then when you release it from that position it dies. Headlamps, interior lights all work. But this problem has only happend after I installed the new aftermarket tachometer. I then took off the whole wiring to see if it was something I did but still it is still persisting.
I then attached a volt meter to my coil to see when it gets juice and it will get juice when the car is in the RUN position or START position then when I let go like I would normally do the volt meter shoots down and reads zero.
Thinking it was the ignition switch I replaced it, and tumbler but still nothing.
I have an electronic ignition and cant seem to see a Ballast resistor anywhere so I dont think it is that.
