1968 Ford Mustang V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 100k miles

My mustang voltage, regulator, battery, alternator and some wiring is new and working. but the car ocasionally shuts off as I am driving and then might turn on and come nback off it does this occasionally soon after the first shut off. Ive take in to a mustang place to hav eit looked at and can not diagnose the problem????

Check the coil's primary and secondary resistances make sure the contact point is properly gapped. Now take a wire from the battery positive post straight to the coil positive terminal. What you are doing here is hard wiring the ignition -This will bypass the resistance wire from the ignition circuit if this fix the problem test the resistance wire and ignition switch-

Also check the fuel pressure to rule out the fuel pump.

I'll give this a try. I know that the mechanic re-wirefd the ignition to the coil and because of some slicing it had...I'll keep you posted. thanks.
