1967 Ford Mustang Rattle when accelerating

Hi there, I know you must have answered this question before and probobly know exactly what the problem is as well as the solution.
The car seems to take off in first gear just fine. Once the car is cruising normal and I accelerate just a little too hard the engine makes a rattling noise and the car doesn't have as much power. If i accelerate softer the noise seems to go away or is simply covered up by the noisie exaust. Has a 289. Other then this and some suspension issues and break light problems,car is running GREAT!

Spark knock what octain are you useing? Suggest 89
Also check dwell and timming and verfiy the vacuum advance is working.

using premium only. Timing was adjuted two months ago. Will first find out what vaccum advance is and how to check if it is working and I'll get back to you. Thank you very much for helping. Hope to get it working right.

It is on dist. little can with hose attached. Take a timming light run engine oull hose rev up to 1800rpms Timing make should advance about 15deg. then check vac. on hose should be there attach rev up 2000rpms advance should go up to @35deg. If no advance in first step centrifugl advance in op if no advance in step two vac adv. in op.
