Noises problem
1999 Ford Mondeo 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual

there has been a tinny metalic rattle coming from what seems to be the front of my mondeo for a few months now, sounding almost like a loose bracket on exhaust but after being twice on ramps & thoroughly searched inspected there is nothing loose anywhere. Recently in the last 2 weeks there is now a clunk coming from again sounds like the front, like cv joint noise but this happens when starting off going forward & reverse...a few inches into pulling away going in straight line there is an initial quite load clunk...same thing when stopped & starting to reverse...i have not heard this clunk while turning like you would a cv joint ...could this be related to the tinny rattling noise which is constant now even though prior to this clunk there the rattling didnt affect the mechanics or mobility of my car in any way, no vearing to left or right suspension is fine no vibration or wobbling to stearing etc...also i believe the water pump has gone due to there being no presure when squeezing the top hose, could the rattle be that?...seems very load.
